Their work in the electronic capabilities of rock was more advanced than most people recognize. Upon losing her first position, Guilfoyle was forced to relocate from San Francisco to Los Angeles, where she continued working in the LA district attorney's office and built her reputation as a prosecutor.At one time, Pink Floyd was far-out, freaky even. Hallinan was accused of discriminatory treatment for letting people go based on age, sex, race, and political affiliation, though he denied these claims (per SFGate). Hallinan replaced District Attorney Arlo Smith, whom Guilfoyle and many others had worked to reelect. Unfortunately, her time at the office ended prematurely when District Attorney Terence Hallinan took over and promptly fired 14 deputy district attorneys, including Guilfoyle (per SFGate). ![]() It was an excellent opportunity at the same office where she had interned during law school and could have been an exciting start to her career in her hometown. After graduating and briefly working as a teacher, Guilfoyle landed a job at the San Francisco district attorney's office. Her career struggles started as early as her first professional legal position.
